The world of crocodilians is diverse, comprising 25 formally recognized species, alongside many more that remain undiscovered in remote locations. These fascinating reptiles exhibit unique characteristics, such as oversized heads, additional scales behind their eyes, and varying degrees of bony armor.

This app serves as a comprehensive resource on the biology, behavior, and conservation of these ancient reptiles, aimed at a scientific audience while remaining accessible to the general public. It offers a detailed exploration of crocodilian classification and taxonomy, breaking down the three primary families: crocodiles, alligators, and gharials. Users can delve into the various genera within each family and learn how to distinguish between caiman species and their respective genera.
